In February, 2014, the USCIS launched the ELIS Library Tool to assist filers to manage filed documents. August, 2014, the USCIC announced the launch of the updated ELIS system (online account-based system to streamline filing and determination process), allowing petitioners to view their application and receive real-time case status updates. The new system improves filing efficiency and reduces the volume of paper-filed I-526 petitions. The ELIS system is a secured communication platform for petition evidence and document management. Unfortunately, technical challenges exist, including the inability to edit the Deal Package information submitted.
