Marriage Green Card – Honduras Born

The client entered the U.S. illegally, from Honduras.  Although Honduras citizens were later granted Temporary Protective Status by the U.S., allowing the client to legally work in the U.S., the illegal entry record would normally prevent an individual from becoming an U.S. citizen in the future.  A few years ago, the client married to a US citizen. Her husband tried to petition a marriage green card, but it was denied because of the illegal entry record and numerous mistakes by their previous attorney.  By working extensively with the client, we collected over ten (10) years of documentation to effectively persuade the USCIS on why this individual deserves to become an U.S. citizen. Following the filing of the petition (along with our unique and individualized cover letter to the USCIS), Mr. Tony Chang, Esq. accompanied the clients to the USCIS interview.  By the end of the interview, the USCIS officer was convinced and verbally congratulated my client.  Shortly after, we received the written approval letter from the USCIS.  Our client’s case was approved less than 6 months after filing.  After years without legal status, our client finally received her green card and was able to visit her family in Honduras, without fear of not being able to return her husband in the United States.
